How it works

One wallet of tickets.
Every basket you want.

You already know the shape of this from the table. Here’s exactly how the mechanic works when it moves online.

Basket raffle event and online basket raffle interface

Buy once. Split it however you want.

Say tickets are 1 for $5, 3 for $10, or 25 for $50. Buy the $50 bundle and you get 25 tickets in one wallet, not 25 separate purchases. From there, you decide where they go.

7Weekend Getaway
Buy the $50 bundle once. Then put 10 tickets on the wine basket, 8 on the spa basket, and 7 on the weekend getaway, all from the same wallet.

One payment. Every basket keeps its own pool of entries. Every basket gets its own winner.

Most platforms don’t actually work this way.

A lot of raffle software can list multiple prizes on one page. Fewer can let one purchase cover all of them. If a platform makes a supporter buy a separate entry for every prize, that’s not one basket raffle, it’s a stack of mini raffles wearing the same event name. At 10 baskets that’s mildly annoying. At 50 or 60, it’s a different event entirely.

Five ways to tell if a platform actually does this.

If you’re comparing options, this is the real test. A platform needs to answer yes to all five, not just the first one.

1
Can one raffle contain 50 different prizes?
2
Can one supporter buy 25 tickets for $50 and split those tickets across those prizes?
3
Are entries on one prize kept separate so they can’t win a different prize?
4
Can different prizes require different ticket quantities?
5
Can the supporter finish everything in one checkout while every allocation is preserved?
